| Obverse description | A large, elaborately rendered fleur-de-lys occupies the central field, its acanthus-scroll petals and foliate base executed in high relief with fine detail characteristic of early 19th-century Italian die-cutting. The heraldic emblem, traditional symbol of Florence, is shown in full bloom with three prominent lobes and pendant lower volutes. A circular Latin legend surrounds the device, separated from the milled border by a flat rim. |
