Reverse description	Entirely typeset reverse in letterpress within a plain ruled border, carrying the bilingual guarantee text in German and Swahili attesting that the note's value is fully deposited with the Imperial Government of German East Africa. The serial number appears twice — once at the top centre and once at the lower right — alongside the alphanumeric series prefix "A3" printed twice at left and right. A rectangular printer's imprint box is present at the lower left, and a diagonal violet cancellation stamp overlays the centre of the note.
