| Obverse description | Multi-line Persian/Arabic poetic couplet inscription arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal rule, with the second couplet of the royal legend displayed across three lines in flowing Nastaliq script. Decorative floral or pellet ornaments appear in the field. The flan is irregular in shape, characteristic of hand-struck hammered coinage of the Durrani period. |

The legend records the regnal year (RY) and Hijri date together with the mint name Peshawar, disposed around the quartered field in the manner typical of late Durrani rupees. The flan edges are ragged and irregular, consistent with hammered hand-struck production. |
