Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing a two-line Persian couplet in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy, divided by a horizontal rule. The second couplet of the standard Durrani shah legend is inscribed across the central field, with the AH regnal date incorporated within the lower register. Decorative floral and foliate ornaments fill the margins surrounding the inscription, characteristic of late 18th-century Afghan coinage.
