Surrounding the inscription is a richly detailed wreath of acanthus-like scrolling foliage interspersed with thistle and lotus buds, forming a symmetrical cartouche. A prominent floral spray occupies the lower centre below the date. The entire design is enclosed within a plain inner circle and a continuous beaded outer border. |
