Obverse description The field is entirely occupied by a bold multi-line Persian-script legend in flowing nasta'liq calligraphy, arranged in three registers across the flan. The upper register carries an inscribed cartouche separated by a raised line, while the central and lower registers display the royal titulature of Taimur Shah. The Arabic hijri date 1189 appears within or adjacent to the inscription. The coin exhibits the characteristically irregular flan and high-relief striking typical of Durrani-period hammered coinage.
