Obverse description The field is occupied entirely by multiple lines of bold Arabic-script legends in the Naskh style, struck on an irregular flan typical of hand-hammered Durrani coinage. The inscriptions record the name and titles of Taimur Shah, ruler of the Durrani Empire, along with the Hijri regnal year. The die-work is bold and deeply impressed, with characteristic flan cracking and surface irregularity consistent with hammered silver production at the Derajat mint.
