Obverse description Central field dominated by a bold floral or foliate device rendered in the Durrani hammered style, surrounded by Persian calligraphic legends in Nastaliq script arranged in the outer margins. The strike is characteristic of hand-hammered coinage, resulting in a slightly irregular flan with softness at the periphery. The overall design is typical of Sadozai Durrani rupees issued under Taimur Shah.

Reverse description The reverse carries multiple lines of Persian calligraphic inscription in Nastaliq script filling the entire field, recording the ruler's name, titles, and the mint and regnal year. The legends are arranged in flowing curved lines conforming to the round flan, as is customary for Durrani hammered rupees. The strike shows typical characteristics of the Ahmedshahi Mint, with slightly weak areas at the edges due to the hand-hammering technique.
