Reverse description The reverse bears a three-line Arabic-script legend in Nasta'liq style, filling the central field and reading 'Zarb / Peshawar / 1227', denoting the mint city of Peshawar and the Hijri regnal year of striking. The bold, deeply struck characters are arranged in a stacked format characteristic of Durrani rupee coinage, with decorative floral and pellet ornaments visible in the field. The coin's irregular, hand-cut flan is clearly evident at the periphery, consistent with hammered production. A linear inner border frames the inscription. The numerals of the date are rendered in Eastern Arabic script as ١٢٢٧.
