| Reverse description | The reverse displays bold Nasta'liq calligraphic legends arranged in two registers across the entire field, with decorative pellet ornaments scattered throughout. The upper register presents a prominent interlaced calligraphic composition identifying the mint and regnal authority. The lower register carries the mint name Peshawar and the Hijri date 1255, rendered in Eastern Arabic numerals. A decorative border of small pellets runs along the inner edge of the irregular flan. The overall style is consistent with Durrani dynasty hammered rupees struck at the Peshawar mint. |
