| Reverse description | Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription naming the mint and the regnal year, arranged in bold calligraphic registers filling the entire flan. The legend is interspersed with decorative foliate or floral ornaments and dot clusters, characteristic of Kabul Mint workmanship. A beaded or denticulated border encircles the design. The Arabic numeral date, corresponding to AH 1285, 1286, or 1287, appears in the lower portion of the field. The hand-struck, irregular flan reflects the traditional hammered technique used at the Kabul Mint during the reign of Sher Ali Khan. |
