Obverse description The obverse bears a two-line Persian couplet in Nastaliq script reading 'Saya-e-fazle elah', divided by a horizontal line across the field. The upper register contains the AH regnal date, while the lower register carries the continuation of the royal legend. Decorative beaded floral ornaments flank the inscriptions on either side, a characteristic feature of late Mughal coinage from the Saharanpur mint. The calligraphy is rendered in the flowing Nastaliq style typical of Shah Alam II issues.
