| Obverse description | Three horizontal bands of Persian/Nastaliq script fill the entire field, bearing the imperial titles and name of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II together with the AH regnal date. The calligraphy is rendered in bold relief in the characteristic Mughal hammered style, with the legend disposed across the flan without a formal border. The inscription reads the emperor's name and titles in elegant Nastaliq script typical of late Mughal coinage. |
