Reverse description The reverse displays a continuation of the Mughal-style Persian legend in Nasta'liq script, with the mint name Kora (كوره) and the regnal year prominently placed within the field. The design is arranged in flowing diagonal bands of calligraphy across the flan, consistent with Maratha-struck rupees imitating Mughal coinage. Small decorative pellets and floral ornaments punctuate the field between the inscriptions. The strike is characteristic of the hammered technique used at this inland mint during the early 1760s.
