Reverse description The reverse displays Nagari and Persian script legends in the stylized angular hand characteristic of Maratha mint production, with the regnal formula struck in the name of Shah Alam II. Decorative pellet arrangements and scrolling script elements fill the field, consistent with the Srinagar (Ujjain) mint style of the Maratha Confederacy. The inscription records the mint name and hijri year 1212, corresponding to 1797-1798 CE, rendered in the compressed calligraphic style typical of this series.
