| Obverse description | Central field bears the imperial Mughal legend in elegant Persian nastaliq script, arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal line. The upper register contains the royal epithet referencing Shah Alam Bahadur Ghazi, while the lower register carries the term 'Badshah.' The coin is struck on a round flan with a beaded border running along the periphery. The script is bold and deeply impressed, characteristic of hammered rupee coinage issued in the name of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. |
