Reverse description The reverse field similarly bears a multi-line Persian Nastaliq inscription arranged in horizontal registers divided by raised linear bands, conforming to the standard Bengal Presidency rupee format. Floral rosette ornaments are positioned in the upper and lateral fields, serving as decorative spacers typical of Murshidabad Presidency coinage. The central legend records the mint name, Murshidabad, along with the frozen regnal year 19 of Shah Alam II's reign. The numeral ١٩ (nineteen) is prominently rendered in Eastern Arabic numerals within the legend, denoting the frozen regnal year used on all coins of this type regardless of actual year of striking.
