Obverse description Bold Nastaliq Arabic legend of the Mughal imperial titulature of Shah Alam II arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal line, with a stylised sun or star motif (chakra) prominently displayed in the central field. Seven small dots serve as the mint marks of Chhatarpur, distributed around the central device. A lotus bud appears in the left field. The entire design is characteristic of the struck Mughal-style coinage produced by the Chhatarpur princely state in the name of the reigning emperor.
