Reverse description The reverse bears the Persian numeral date in the center of the field, recording the Nanakshahi Samvat year 1883 (corresponding to 1827 CE), surrounded by characteristic foliate scroll and dotted decorative motifs that fill the remaining field. The inscription is executed in the same nastaʿlīq-influenced style as the obverse, with the date prominently positioned. The irregular hammered flan and slightly uneven strike are consistent with hand-struck Sikh Empire coinage of the Amritsar mint.
