| Reverse description | Central rectangular cartouche enclosing the Arabic regnal year numeral, flanked by a prominent star or asterisk ornament to the left. The field above and below the cartouche contains the mint name Braj Indrapur in Arabic script, divided by horizontal ruled borders. The design follows the standard Mughal-derived layout typical of early nineteenth-century Bharatpur rupees, with the regnal year expressed in Eastern Arabic numerals. Regnal years 34 to 49 on this type were struck posthumously during the reign of Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar. |
