| Obverse description | Octagonal flan with a beaded border running along all eight sides. The field is occupied by multiple lines of Persian script in bold, flowing naskh style, conveying the royal titles and name of the Ahom king Rajeswar Singha. The inscriptions are arranged in diagonal bands across the face, characteristic of Mughal-influenced Assamese coinage of the mid-eighteenth century. Small rosette or pellet ornaments punctuate the spaces between lines of legend, adding decorative emphasis to the composition. |
