Reverse description The reverse presents a multi-line Persian legend in Nastaliq script arranged in horizontal registers across the coin's field, separated by incuse ruled lines, following the Mughal rupee format adopted by the Karauli princely state. The central legend occupies the principal register, flanked above and below by subsidiary inscriptions. The regnal year 13 of Queen Victoria's reign is recorded within the field, consistent with the Vikrama Samvat or regal year dating practice of this issue. The overall style reflects the continuation of Mughal monetary conventions under British suzerainty.
