| Reverse description | The reverse displays the Islamic declaration of faith (Shahada) in Nastaliq script: 'There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.' The legend is arranged in multiple lines across the coin field, following the standard Mughal-era convention for subsidiary and feudatory coinage. The calligraphy is executed in the Nastaliq style consistent with early 18th-century regional coinage of the Punjab. The flan is irregular and the strike is typical of hand-hammered production, resulting in some softness at the periphery. |
