| Obverse description | Central field bears the name and titles of Emperor Muhammad Shah in three horizontal registers of bold Nasta'liq calligraphy, divided by two parallel raised lines. The AH regnal year appears in the lower register. The inscription reads 'Muhammad Shah' in the upper band, with the imperial epithet 'Badshah Ghazi' occupying the central and lower bands. The design is characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage, with the calligraphic legend dominating the entire flan. |
