Obverse description The obverse bears a calligraphic Persian couplet in Naskh/Nastaliq script reading 'ba fazle kareem' within a central cartouche framed by a double-ruled border. The Hijri regnal year (AH) is inscribed in the field, with additional decorative elements occupying the surrounding area. The legends are arranged in three registers typical of late Mughal hammered rupees, with the text flowing across the flan in the characteristic style of the period.
