| Reverse description | Hammered reverse featuring Persian and Nagari inscriptions arranged across the field in multiple registers, consistent with Gwalior mint practice under Jankoji Rao Scindia. A bow and arrow device, pointing downward, appears prominently as the regnal symbol of the Gwalior state. The Nagari character 'Ja' (ज), denoting Jankoji Rao, serves as a mint or ruler mark. The regnal year 23 is inscribed in Persian numerals, corresponding to the 23rd year of Muhammad Akbar II's reign (AH 1237 / 1829 CE). The script is rendered in characteristic provincial Nasta'liq style. |
