| Obverse description | Central field bears the royal title and name of Mughal Emperor Muhammad Akbar II rendered in bold Nastaliq Arabic script within a rectangular panel framed by horizontal lines. The AH regnal date appears in the lower portion of the field. The inscription is characteristic of the Mughal-style rupee coinage issued by the Baroda princely state in the emperor's name. |
