Obverse description Multi-line Persian nastaliq inscription arranged within a characteristic grid or panel framework, typical of Afghan hammered rupees of the period. The royal name 'A'zam' appears prominently above 'Muhammad' in bold calligraphic strokes. The date is inscribed below the main legend in the field. The irregular flan exhibits the characteristic uneven edges of hand-struck coinage, with the inscription filling most of the available die area.
