Obverse description Central device depicts a detailed architectural rendering of the Charminar, the iconic four-minaret monument of Hyderabad, occupying the majority of the field. The initial letter 'Ain' (ع), representing the name of Nizam Osman Ali Khan, is prominently placed within the central arch of the monument. Arabic legends identifying the ruler as Asaf Jah, Bahadur Nizam Al-Mulk, appear to the left and right of the central structure, with the numeral 92 (denoting the 92nd Nizam) inscribed above. The Hijri regnal year appears at the base of the design, below the Charminar. The entire composition is enclosed within a decorative Greek key (meander) border with an inner beaded rim.
