| Reverse description | The reverse displays multi-line Persian or Urdu script legend arranged across the field, divided by a horizontal raised line bisecting the coin, a characteristic feature of Baroda rupees struck under Malhar Rao. The upper portion bears the opening lines of the mint legend in flowing Nastaliq script, while the lower segment contains additional inscriptional elements. The flan is irregular and slightly broader than deep, consistent with hand-struck silver coinage of the Gaekwad state. Weight of individual specimens varies between 10.7 and 11.6 grams. |
