Obverse description Central field dominated by a bold calligraphic Arabic inscription in three horizontal registers, rendered in the characteristic Nasta'liq script style of Durrani-era coinage. A floral or vegetal ornament appears at the center of the middle register as a decorative device. The Hijri date is inscribed to the left of the central legend, partially visible along the inner margin. A secondary inscription band runs along the upper and lower portions of the coin, separated by linear borders. The flan is irregular and slightly scyphate, consistent with hand-hammered production.
