Obverse description Central device features the royal crown of Nepal (the Mahendra crown) in high relief, depicted frontally with elaborate decorative detailing. Flanking the crown are celestial symbols including a crescent moon at left and a sun at right. The Devanagari legend reading 'Sri 5 Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev' encircles the central device, with the Bikram Sambat date 2013 appearing in the lower field. The coin's border is composed of a fine beaded rim.
