| Obverse description | Octagonal hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Assamese legend arranged horizontally across the field within a dotted inner border that follows the octagonal periphery. The inscription, rendered in bold Assamese script, reads 'Sri Sri Swarg Deva Sri Lakshmi Simha Nripasya Saka Era 1698,' identifying the reigning Ahom king Lakshmi Singha and recording the Saka year of issue. The lettering fills the entire field in a dense, closely-set arrangement characteristic of Ahom coinage of the 18th century. No pictorial or figural elements are present; the design is purely epigraphic. The flat, irregular flan shows typical hand-struck production with slight weakness at the outer edges. |
