| Obverse description | The left portion carries a vignette of a breadfruit tree with pendant fruit beside an oval numeral "1" cartouche, while the right side bears a landscape vignette of a Burmese pagoda complex with palm trees. The central field is occupied by a large circular guilloche underprint in pink, over which the denomination "ONE RUPEE" appears in a decorative scroll panel. Japanese characters reading "大日本帝國政府" are printed along the lower centre, with letter-prefix serial numbers in red at the lower left and right. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is printed entirely in green on an uncoloured ground and consists of an elaborate all-over guilloche composition. A central rectangular panel encloses a large bold numeral "1" set against a fine lathe-work background, framed by scrolled cartouche ornaments above and below. Large stylised numeral "1" vignettes occupy the left and right side panels, all surrounded by intricate engine-turned rosette and foliate guilloche borders. |
