| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a two-line Persian couplet in bold Nasta'liq script arranged within a central cartouche, reading 'sikka zad az fazl-e haqq bar sim o zar / badshah-e bahr o bar Farrukh-siyar', crediting divine grace for the coinage and proclaiming Farrukhsiyar as emperor of sea and land. The legend is enclosed within a scalloped or beaded border framing the field, with additional marginal inscriptions completing the regnal formula around the periphery. The overall style is characteristic of late Mughal hammered coinage, with slightly irregular flan edges and strong relief on the calligraphic elements. |
