Obverse description Central field bears a multi-line Persian legend in flowing Naskh-Nasta'liq script, inscribed within a decorative frame formed by raised linear borders. The legend reads the kalima or imperial titles of Emperor Farrukhsiyar, arranged in characteristic Mughal coin style across three registers. The regnal year in Hijri numerals appears in the lower portion of the field. The flan is slightly irregular in outline, typical of hammered Mughal coinage, with a rough, uneven edge.
