Obverse description The obverse bears a multi-line Persian inscription in Naskh-style Arabic script, arranged in three registers across the field, reading the royal couplet: 'Sikka zad az fazl-e-haq bar seem-o-zar / Badshah bahr-o-bar Farrukhsiyar' (Struck coin on silver and gold by the grace of God / Monarch of sea and land, Farrukhsiyar). The AH regnal date appears within the inscription. Decorative floral or foliate motifs separate the lines, consistent with Mughal hammered rupee style. The legends are contained within a plain circular border.
