| Obverse description | The obverse bears a four-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script arranged in the characteristic Mughal cartouche format, reading from bottom to top: 'Sikka Zad Az Fazle Haq bar sim-o-zar / Badshahe Bahr-o-Barr Farrukhsiyar' — proclaiming the emperor Farrukhsiyar as 'King of Land and Sea' by the grace of God. The Hijri regnal year 1130 AH appears within the legend field. The calligraphy is rendered in bold, fluid strokes typical of Mughal hammered coinage, with the text occupying the full flan within a plain border. |
