The legend is arranged across the flan in the compact, angular style typical of Rajput hammered rupees. The inscription identifies the state of Bundi and its ruler Ram Sinha, with the Vikram Samvat date (VS 1963–1969, corresponding to 1906–1912 CE). No border ornamentation is present beyond the naturally irregular edge of the hammered flan. |

Bundi's coinage under Raghubir Singhji represents one of the more administratively complex situations in princely-state numismatics: the state retained the right to strike silver rupees long after many neighboring Rajputana states had surrendered that privilege to British India. The overlaid acknowledgment of Edward VII was a condition of continued minting rights, not a voluntary tribute.
