| Reverse description | Octagonal hammered silver flan with a dotted border along all eight edges, mirroring the obverse treatment. The central field bears a four-line Assamese inscription in raised relief, recording a religious dedication to Hara (Shiva) and Gauri, followed by the Saka era date 15 (corresponding to regnal year 15 of Chakradhwaj Singha, 1663–1670). The boldly struck Assamese characters fill the field uniformly, with no subsidiary devices or symbols. The flat, unornamented planchet and overall simplicity of design are typical of Ahom regal coinage. |
