| Obverse description | Struck in the Mughal style, the obverse bears multi-line Persian calligraphy in Nastaliq script occupying the central field, with the royal legend naming the Mughal emperor Muhammad Akbar II (AH 1220–1252) as nominal sovereign. The inscription is arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal dividing line, with additional marginal legends partially visible along the periphery. The field is adorned with pellets and floral decorative elements characteristic of Rajput princely coinage of the early nineteenth century. This coin represents a variety of KM#20, issued by the state of Alwar under Bani Singh between AH 1224 and AH 1252. |
