| Reverse description | The reverse displays a multi-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script arranged in horizontal registers, naming the mint city of Multan at the top alongside the regnal year (sana) date. The central and lower registers contain the characteristic Mughal formula referencing the blessed accession year, reading 'Zarb Dar-ul-Aman Multan Jalos Memanat Manoos Sana'. Pellet ornaments punctuate the borders between the lines of text, consistent with Mughal hammered rupee coinage of the period. The overall design follows the standard typology established for Aurangzeb's provincial mint issues. |
