Reverse description The reverse displays the mint epithet 'Dar-uz-Zafar' (Abode of Victory), the honorific name for the Bijapur mint, along with the emperor's regnal year (RY) in Persian script, arranged in two lines separated by a horizontal rule across the field. The calligraphy is executed in a bold, sweeping Naskh hand characteristic of Mughal provincial coinage. Decorative pellets punctuate the field near the rim. The flan edges show the typical irregular outline of a hammered rupee struck at a Deccan provincial mint.
