Obverse description Central field dominated by a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Nasta'liq script, arranged in horizontal bands separated by raised linear borders. The inscription contains the kalima and the name and titles of the Mughal emperor Alamgir II. The calligraphy is characteristic of mid-18th century Mughal hammered coinage, with flowing script filling the entire flan.
