Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing the royal Mughal sikka legend in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy, arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal ruled line across the field. The upper register carries the opening portion of the imperial mint formula acknowledging the sovereign's titles, while the lower register continues the legend. The script is deeply struck with characteristic squared terminal dots ornamenting the field, typical of late Mughal hammered rupees struck in the name of Alamgir II.
