Reverse description Square hammered flan displaying Arabic and Persian legends in bold Naskh calligraphy arranged in horizontal registers. The upper field bears the regnal titles of Emperor Akbar, while a horizontal rule divides the field from the lower register, which records the mint name Fathpur and the regnal year in Persian. The deeply struck lettering fills the flan with characteristic Mughal exuberance, enclosed within a plain raised linear border on all sides.
