Reverse description The reverse field is entirely filled with the imperial titulature of Emperor Akbar, inscribed in bold, flowing Naskh Arabic calligraphy arranged across multiple lines. The legend names the emperor with his full regnal title and is accompanied by the AH date numerals positioned within the field. The strike is characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage, with the irregular flan partially clipping the legend at the margins. The field is flat and unadorned save for the calligraphic inscription, with no border, mintmark cartouche, or exergual line present on this die type.
Reverse script Arabic
Reverse lettering جلال الدين محمد أكبر بادشاه غازي ٩٨٣
(Translation: Glory of the faith, Emperor Muhammad Akbar, warrior against the infidels. Date: 983 AH)
