Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Persian legend arranged in three horizontal bands, reading 'Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Ahmad Shah Bahadur' (The auspicious coin of the Victorious Emperor Ahmad Shah, the Valiant), with the AH regnal year 1167 incorporated into the legend. The script is rendered in bold Naskh calligraphy typical of Mughal-era coinage. The flan is irregularly shaped with a slightly uneven rim characteristic of hammered silver rupees of the period. Decorative floral or dot embellishments appear in the margins surrounding the central legend.
