| Obverse description | The field is entirely occupied by a four-line Persian/Naskh-script legend in raised relief, arranged within horizontal cartouche bands typical of Durrani-period coinage. The inscription, executed in a bold and flowing calligraphic style, carries the royal titulature of Ahmad Shah Durrani. The legend fills the flan to its irregular margins, with no decorative border or ornamental devices, in keeping with the austere hammered coinage tradition of the period. |
