Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing the Persian royal legend of Ahmad Shah Bahadur in bold nastaliq script, arranged across the central field within two horizontal registers separated by raised lines. The emperor's regnal name and titles are inscribed in large, flowing calligraphy occupying the majority of the obverse field. A short inscription appears in the upper segment above the top register, with further notation in the lower segment below the second register. The overall design is characteristic of late Mughal coinage, with the text serving as the sole decorative and identifying element in lieu of a royal portrait.
